St. Mary's Credit Union, based in Marlborough, was named Small Business Association Lender of the Quarter for the second quarter of fiscal year 2014. A certificate of recognition was presented in a ceremony April 28.

The Barbershop Health Network of Worcester received a $28,500 grant from the Boston-based Third Sector New England to employ community members to help promote community health resources. The health network is one of seven groups in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to receive grants.

Tower Hill Botanic Garden of Boylston, Rose 32 Bread in Hardwick, Hardwick Winery, Tully Lake Campground in Royalston, Armsby Abbey of Worcester, and George's Coney Island of Worcester were chosen as “Best of New England — Editor's Choice” winners by Yankee Magazine, based in Dublin, N.H.

JM Coull, a Maynard-based construction firm, was awarded its fourth consecutive Diamond Safety Training and Evaluation Process Award by the Associated Builders and Contractors national trade association. Diamond is the highest level of safety that can be attained by contractors.

Atlas Travel of Milford was listed on the 7th Annual Women Presidents' Organization's list of the 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies. For the first time, the list was open to applicants on a global level. This is CEO Elaine Osgood's fifth consecutive year on the list; Atlas is the only travel management company among the 50 businesses.

Consigli Construction of Milford was recently ranked 77th among the top 400 construction management firms in the U.S. by Engineering News-Record magazine. The annual survey ranks the largest general contractors based on construction contracting-specific revenue.

Fidelity Bank, based in Leominster, has again received a “blue ribbon” award from banking analysis firm Veribanc based on the bank's recent financial data. The award is given to financial institutions that demonstrate “exceptional attention to safety, soundness and financial strength.” It's the 11th straight quarter in which Fidelity has been awarded a blue ribbon.

David Bennett, vice president and director of business banking at Natick-based Middlesex Savings Bank, has been named Framingham State University's “Business Person of the Year.” The award honors a businessperson who has made significant contributions to students or faculty in the school's economics and business administration department.
