In Westboro, American Superconductor (AMSC) announced that is will appoint John Wood to the company's Board of Directors, expanding the current Board to nine members.
Since 2003, Wood has served as CEO of Analogic Corp. in Peabody, a manufacturer of processing instruments and medical equipment. He will leave that post effective December 31. Prior to that, Wood served as president of Peek Ltd., a division of Thermo Electron Corp. in Waltham, as well as sitting as president and CEO of Thermedics, a subsidiary of Thermo Electron.
Wood holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
