Associated Spring renamed
In an effort to better brand its industrial business segment, Bristol-based Barnes Group has renamed its Associated Spring subsidiary to Barnes Industrial, the company said. The industrial business segment at Barnes consists of six units: Precision forming, retention rings, nitrogen gas products, precision valves, engineered springs and plastics. The Associate Spring brand name will remain within the engineered springs unit. The company’s two other divisions both bear the Barnes name – Barnes Aerospace and Barnes Distribution – and the name change will bring the unit in line with the rest of the company.
