Berkshire Bank, headquartered in Boston with locations throughout Central Massachusetts, has furthered its partnership with New York financial technology firm Narmi, to operate the bank's app and websites.

Narmi will provide functionalities like personalization, savings tools, self-service capabilities, and apps to support money transfers and financial planning, according to a Monday press release from Berkshire.

Berkshire Bank worked with Narmi in the past to upgrade its consumer online accounts, but this latest partnership will streamline the bank’s customer experience by having all its digital resources on a single platform.

The partnership is part of Berkshire's efforts to provide more personalized and convenient digital offerings.

This new project with Narmi comes on the heels of Berkshire Bank removing all Commerce Bank signs off of the 13 Central Mass. branches that Berkshire acquired in 2017.

“Finalizing our expanded partnership with Narmi is the culmination of years of planning, countless hours of work by bankers throughout the company and is consistent with our technology roadmap,” said Sean Gray, chief operating officer at Berkshire Bank in a written statement. “Through this partnership, Berkshire Bank positions itself well to ensure its ability to keep pace with the speed of digital adoption while providing our customers with differentiated digital solutions.”
