Age: 36
Title: Principal
Company: Integrated Process Technologies Inc. (IPT)
Company location: Devens
Residence: Shrewsbury
Career highlights:
James Banks and I started IPT in February 2000 from our respective basements. From February 2000 to June of 2007 the company has grown from revenues of $200,000 to revenues of $11,000,000 per annum. IPT is a multifaceted professional services company that employs 27 engineers, 27 mechanical trades, and 10 project managers/administrative staff.
My responsibilities have not changed as the company has grown. Since IPT was founded I have been responsible for product excellence, sales, banking relationships and employees. As the company grew the responsibilities did not change, just the complexity of the responsibilities and the need for continued leadership.
Community involvement:
I am husband and a father of two young daughters ages 5 and 2. I am active in the children’s education and after school activities.
Biggest success:
I am proud to be co-founder of Integrated Process Technologies Inc. The vision of IPT was to provide superior engineering and fabrication services at a competitive price. Our mission statement has not changed from the date of inception showing a constancy of purpose. IPT has been able to grow organically from 2 people to 65 people doubling in revenues and growth about every 12 to 18 months as well as being listed as an Inc. 500 company at a rank of 237 in 2006.
Dream job:
To have the opportunity to grow a company from a basement operation to a Fortune 500 company, my current job.
Businessperson he most admires and why:
Business has many leaders who have been influential throughout time but Bill Gates, by far, has done the most to change the world we live in today. Gates was a risk taker and innovator that has known no equal and is a person that I respect for his business and philanthropic work throughout the world.
