Cognex Hires Komatsu CEO

Natick-based Cognex Corp. has appointed a manufacturing executive to run its Japanese subsidiary, Cognex K.K.
Makoto Inoue, who was most recently president and CEO of industrial manufacturer Komatsu, was made president of Cognex's Japanese subsidiary, and will be responsible for the sales, marketing, engineering and technical support of Cognex machine vision products in Japan.
Cognex's sensors "see" manufacturing processes to allow for more automation and better quality control.
