Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. I'm settling in very quickly as the people here are great to work with. Everyone has been very open and welcoming, so it has allowed me to jump right in and be part of the team.
Q. What's the biggest surprise you've had in starting the job?
A. It's surprising that a company with such a global reach is located in Uxbridge.
Q. What challenges do you see in your new position?
A. One of the major reasons why I joined the company is that it has so much potential to expand its position in the market. I think the biggest challenge will be on developing the right focus within the organization to take advantage of its growth potential as soon as possible.
Q. How different is this job from your previous position?
A. My previous role was focused on rebuilding the global finance team from the ground up. The organization here has a much stronger foundation, so this will allow me to work on the broader business opportunities a lot quicker.
Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. In high school I had intentions of teaching music for a career, and as a freshman in college I majored in music education. From that perspective, what I'm doing now isn't even close.
Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. The Quaker Deli in Uxbridge.
Q. What do you hope to be doing ten years from now?
A. As I've progressed throughout my career I've developed a passion to build successful organizations as opposed to just maintaining them. As long as I'm doing this 10 years from now, then I'll be happy.
