Diligent secures $10.5 million in series D funding

Framingham-based data protection company Diligent Technologies Corp. has completed $10.5 million in Series D funding, the company said.
Diligent has now raised $46.5 million to date, which will be used for further research and development and to hire more sales, support and engineering staff.
Newton-based Eastward Capital is the newest investor in the company, joining existing investors Matrix, Accel and Gemini, the company said.
