Sepaton marches on

Due to high demand for its data de-duplication and virtual tape products, Marlborough-based Sepaton Inc. reported a 160 percent increase in the number of customers it serves compared to this time last year.

Sepaton technology now protects the data of more than 800 customers worldwide, the company said.

In April, the company reported securing $22 million in venture funding to fuel product expansion and development.

Steve Duplessie, a senior analyst and founder of Milford-based Enterprise Strategy Group, said to expect Sepaton to begin increasing its market visibility and making more efforts to penetrate the Fortune 500 data center market.
