eClinicalWorks, D.C. Primary Care Association team up

The Washington, D.C., Primary Care Association has chosen Westborough-based eClinicalWorks electronic medical records and practice management products to help streamline operations at six community health centers.

The automation effort is part of the DCPCA's Medical Homes D.C. initiative, a 2003 program designed to increase the capacity of the Capital's primary care safety net providers through capital, clinical and financial improvements.

The electronic medical record project, funded through city grant money, may later expand to include four additional community health centers in the city, the company said.

"D.C. is recognized as a frontrunner in deploying valuable technology enhancements that will benefit residents as a whole," said Girish Kumar Navani, president of eClinicalWorks.
