Evergreen Names Policy Expert To Board

Evergreen Solar Inc. has named energy policy and economics expert Susan F. Tierney to its board of directors.
Tierney is currently managing principal with the Analysis Group, a firm that provides economic, financial and business strategy consulting to law firms, corporations and government agencies.
The Marlborough-based company said it would benefit from Tierney's expertise as it expands its operations and furthers its relationships with utility and other companies.
Tierney is a former assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Energy and is currently chairman of the board of the Energy Foundation.
Evergreen Solar manufactures solar panels.
