Former Natick military director gets new assignment

Retired Brig. Gen. Robert L. Floyd II, former Commanding General of the Natick Soldier Systems Center, has been named the Chief Strategy Officer, Defense and Intelligence Division, for Virgina-based project management company Robbins-Gioia LLC.

Floyd's last military assignment was in Natick. He also served as deputy Commanding General of NATO's Bosnian Theater Multinational Support Command during his 29-year military career.

After his military service, Floyd served as an executive at several defense firms, including aircraft manufacturer Northrop Grumman.
