Gas Prices Down A Penny

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts dropped 1 cent this week, after falling 10 cents last week, according to AAA Southern New England.

Today's survey found that the average price of self-serve, regular unleaded, which has fallen for four consecutive weeks, was $3.65 per gallon. Prices in the Bay State have fallen 23 cents over the past month, but are 26 cents higher than a year ago, AAA said.

The current price is 18 cents above the national average of $3.47. The range in prices is 51 cents, from a low of $3.45 per gallon to $3.96.

The average price of a gallon of diesel fuel also fell by 1 cent, to $4.08 per gallon.
