IPG Photonics of Oxford has named three people to senior management roles as the growing manufacturer of fiber lasers aims to strengthen its global sales and marketing efforts.
Trevor Ness has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and will continue to supervise the Asian operations, David Gray was appointed vice president – strategic development and systems solutions, and Yuri Erokhin was named vice president of strategic marketing, the company announced.
"We are strengthening our management team with three experienced professionals who have demonstrated their expertise and success in helping to expand business opportunities and grow sales," said Valentin Gapontsev, IPG's CEO.
Ness joined IPG in January 2011 as vice president of Asian Operations, and managed double-digit growth in China, Japan and South Korea, the company said. Gray joins IPG from GT Advanced Technologies, where he served in multiple roles, most recently as chief strategy and new business officer. Erokhin joins IPG from Applied Materials/Varian Semiconductor Equipment, where he worked since 2003 and served as senior director of strategic marketing since 2006.
IPG recently announced revenue growth of 19 percent in 2012 to $563 million, and a 23-percent gain in profits.
