Less Job Security Means More Competition

In an economy that puts job security in doubt, employees are becoming more competitive with their coworkers, according to the results of a recent OfficeTeam survey.

OfficeTeam asked executives if employees were more or less competitive with coworkers than they were 10 years ago and 46 percent said employees were either significantly more competitive or somewhat more competitive.

Another 24 percent said they hadn't noticed a change and 23 percent said employees were somewhat less competitive with each other.

OfficeTeam, a temporary staffing agency for administrative positions, said that while competition is healthy, the good of the company should come first.
