Manning Takes WoMag Reins
Doreen Manning has been promoted to editor of Worcester Magazine.
Manning previously served as the editor of the magazine's A&E section, and will continue to oversee that section in addition to her new responsibilities.
The magazine said it will also hire a part-time copy editor and increase its freelance reporting budget to offset Manning's reduced time on the A&E section.
Manning previously ran the monthly arts magazine "The Beat," which circulated in Central Massachusetts and Middlesex County, for seven years. Before that, she spent 10 years as special section editor at the Boston Globe.
She has also worked for Stuff Magazine and the Boston Phoenix.
