Melissa Glavin-Guillotte got her associate's and bachelor's degrees in business from Becker College. Now, after a stint as a human resources consultant with Waste Management of New England, she's returned to her alma mater to help recruit adults into the business and nursing programs at the school's Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies.

Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. Becker College is a wonderful place to work. One of the best qualities of the Becker College is the workforce. I enjoy working with a great team of professionals.
Q. What's the biggest surprise you've had in starting the job?
A. The people that are employed with Becker College truly understand the concept of working as a team with the same goals.
Q. How different is this job from your previous position?
A. Working within the Human Resource field, there are multiple tiers. Marketing and recruitment is another tier of the HR field. I look forward to this new challenge.
Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. When I graduated high school, I thought I would be working in the fashion industry in New York. Instead of assisting people with their clothing attire, I am assisting them in their professional portfolio style.
Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. Boynton Restaurant, hands down
Q. What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
A. Never having to shovel snow again. I see myself continuing to work in the field of human resources.
