Milford hotel sold for $3.3M to Newton firm

The Sonesta Select Boston Milford at 10 Fortune Blvd. in Milford is under new ownership, after the property containing the hotel was purchased for $3.33 million by a Newton-based firm.

Service Properties Trust purchased the 152-room from Laxmi Hotels Group of North Carolina in a deal finalized on Sep. 9, according to CoStar. 

The purchase came as part of a larger deal which saw Service Properties Trust acquire three hotels in Danvers, Foxborough, and Lowell. The total value of the four-hotel transaction was $36.38 million. 

Service Properties Trust is a publicly-traded real estate investment trust, trading on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker SVC. The company focuses on hotels and service-focused retail properties, with more than 200 hotels and 742 retail properties in its portfolio, according to the company’s website.  

Amenities at the Sonesta Select Boston Milford include a fitness center, pool, on-site laundry, and a 24-hour business service center, according to its website. 

The hotel was built around 1990, according to Town of Milford property records. The 5.21-acre property received a 2025 tax assessment value of $7.52 million.
