Millbury Pays DEP Waste Fine

A Millbury company has been hit with $5,500 in penalties for leaving barrels of hazardous waste at a Northborough facility it no longer uses.

Bay State Circuits Inc.'s former Northborough facility was the subject of an audit and inspection and state Department of Environmental Protection officials found 12 drums of filter carbon used to treat solvent-contaminated water and two drums of hazardous waste associated with Bay State's former manufacturing operation at the site.

The company agreed to pay $5,500, properly dispose of the waste and continue to monitor groundwater at the property.
