Leominster-based Fidelity Bank has hired of PETER FAVATA as vice president, home loan specialist, financial designer. He will work in the bank’s Worcester office. He was most recently employed as a VP of Gibraltar Mortgage Lending Services.

 

Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge announced the following appointments: HAYDEE RAMIREZ has joined the hospital as a full-time medical interpreter for the Hispanic community. TOM NUTILE has joined as director of marketing. He was previously owner of TN Communications Group.

 

Worcester-based law firm Bowditch & Dewey LLP has added JEFFREY WARREN to staff as a partner in the Boston office. Warren joins the firm with more than 27 years experience as a business lawyer and as a former venture capital fund manager.

 

SUSAN JOHNSON was appointed assistant vice president of community business banking at Middlesex Savings Bank in Auburn. She joins the bank with more than 13 years experience in SBA small business lending. She was previously an account manager at the Worcester Business Development Corp.

 

Marlborough-based Workscape Inc. has hired JOHN MIELE as vice president of service operations for the outsourced benefits administration business unit.

 

The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants Inc. announced the following appointments for the 2008-2009 fiscal year: JOHN ARMSTRONG, Nichols College, vice chairman; and ANTHONY JORDAN, Stone Turn Group LLP in Boston.

 

The Worcester Bar Association has elected BLAISE BERTHIAUME as president. He currently maintains a law office in North Brookfield where he practices general law. ANTHONY VIGLIOTTI was elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the organization. Vigliotti maintains a law practice at 34 Mechanic St., Worcester and is the Register of Deeds for Southern Worcester County. Newly elected to the executive committee are attorneys: JAMES BISCEGLIA, DOUGLAS BURWICK, ELIZABETH CAIAZZI, MARGARET HURLEY, CAROLYN MITCHELL, STEPHEN PHILBIN, JON REVELLI and JOHN VIGLIOTTI.

 

MacNeill Engineering/Champ Spikes in Marlborough has hired TOM CHESTERS as its new OEM/Shoe Brand Sales Manager for the European and international markets. Chesters has more than 18 years of engineering and manufacturing experience in both the metal and plastics business.

 

JARED CAIN has been appointed as the new director of communications for Sen. Richard Moore (D-Uxbridge). He replaces SHAWN COLLINS, who was recently promoted to legislative and budget director for Sen. Moore.

 

Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester announced the following appointments: JANE BERGER, director of patient advocacy; JANE CRUCKSHANK, vice president of perioperative services; and ANN THERESE SWILLO, vice president of patient services.

 

MATT CATACCHIO has been hired as administrative/event coordinator for the Worcester Sharks. Catacchio spent nine months as an intern before being hired.

 

The Board of Trustees at the College of the Holy Cross have elected new members to its board. KEVIN CONDRON, chairman and CEO of The Granite Group in Concord, N.H., will serve as chair. MARY ELLEN JONES, senior vice president at the Cambridge-based Verenium Corp., will serve as vice chair. The newly elected trustees joining the Holy Cross board are: the Rev. PHILIP BOROUGHS, vice president for mission and ministry at Georgetown University; THOMAS CAREY, retired executive vice president of the Omnicom Group; WILLIAM DORAN, retired managing director of Morgan Stanley; JOHN FISHER, president and CEO, Federated Advisory Cos.; HARRY THOMAS JR., director general, Foreign Service, U.S. Department of State and NANCY TAYLOR, president, Tredegar Film Products Corp.

 

AMY PETERSON has been hired as the director of marketing for the DCU Center in Worcester. She was previously employed as a donor recruitment representative for the American Red Cross.

 

Clinton Savings Bank has appointed LEONARD ANCTIL senior vice president of its commercial lending department. Immediately prior to joining Clinton Savings Bank, he served as vice president of commercial lending at Commerce Bank & Trust.

 

REBECCA HILL has joined Rollstone Bank & Trust in Leominster as branch manager of its Harvard office. Prior to this appointment, she worked for Middlesex Savings Bank in Westford.

 

BRENT ANDERSEN has been re-elected as chairman of the board of trustees at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. He joined the Board in 2002, and was first elected chairman in 2006.
