NORESCO wins Old Dominion contract

NORESCO, an energy services company headquartered in Westboro, will be responsible for creating $3.2 million in energy savings for Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.

The 15-year, $2.7 million contract will go towards making energy infrastructure improvements at the school.  Upgrades include: efficient lighting systems, HVAC improvements, chiller upgrades, and boiler upgrades.  These upgrades and other conservation measures bring the annual energy savings to more than $162,000.

NORESCO offers a guarantee of $3.2 million over the tenure of the project.  The savings generated by the enhancements will allow Old Dominion to fund other improvements, such as maintaining campus services and improving facilities.

In October, NORESCO won a contract worth $46.4 million with the Baltimore City Public School System.  Read more by clicking here.
