A warehouse and distribution center in Auburn being leased by Worcester manufacturer Polar Beverages has changed owners.

The 285,437-square-foot facility located at 26 Southbridge St., less than a mile from Polar’s corporate headquarters in Worcester, was purchased by Westbrook Partners, a real estate investment management firm headquartered in New York City, and which maintains offices in Boston, as well as other cities around the United States and globally.

Westbrook paid $35 million for the property, according to a document from the Worcester Registry of Deeds.

The building was previously owned by GPT Worcester Owner LLC, which is registered to leadership at Link Industrial Properties in New York City.

The sale was brokered by Newmark Group, Inc. of New York, and announced before the purchase was recorded in the Worcester Registry of Deeds. The sale closed on May 24.

The property, which sits on 17.8 acres, was last assessed at $14.7 million in 2021, according to assessor records. It last sold for $21 million in 2014.
