The soon-to-be Worcester Red Sox have released a seating plan for Polar Park that includes detailed renderings for the first time, as well as a slightly reduced capacity.

The $132-million public ballpark, which is slated to open next April, will have a capacity of 9,508 — the last three digits a nod to the region's area code. That's a 5% drop from what had been a planned capacity of 10,000, with about 70% coming through fixed seats.

Of the 9,508 capacity, more than 6,000 are expected to be in fixed seating, largely around the baseball diamond's infield. The capacity at McCoy Stadium, where the team has played for decades in Pawtucket, R.I., is listed at 10,031.

The seating plan announced Thursday came as the team released its seating manifest, so season ticket holders can begin to select where they will sit when the games begin, which is slated for April. The team also is selling early bird pricing on its tickets through Dec. 31.

The seating plan also includes detailed renderings, including aerial and exterior views, as well as views from every one of the park's seating sections. Some renderings do show — but most don't — a planned brick office building envisioned for just beyond the left field wall, a separate projects that has been delayed from a planned opening originally set to coincide with the opening of Polar Park.

The renderings also give a better sense of which companies have signed on as major sponsors.

Digital Federal Credit Union of Marlborough has put its name on the DCU Club, an events space above home plate. Hanover Deck, sponsored by the Hanover Insurance Group of Worcester, is a seating area with picnic tables along the third base line, while Shaw's Supermarkets of West Bridgewater will have prominent signage along the third and first base lines. Ware-based Country Bank, Worcester-based Abbvie, and Spencer-based FLEXcon will have major placement in left field and center field, along with UniBank, UMass Memorial Health Care, MGM Springfield and Rodenhiser Home Services of Holliston.

Other companies with ballpark signage include Assumption University, Mercantile Center, Fallon Health, the Worcester Business Development Corp., Saint-Gobain, Unum, Table Talk Pies and Telegram.com.

The title sponsor of Polar Park is Worcester manufacturer Polar Beverages.
