Prices Rise Slightly For U.S. Exports, Imports

Prices for U.S. imports and exports both rose 0.2 percent in May, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

It was the smallest rise in import prices in eight months and it was the smallest uptick for exports since September of last year, when prices saw a decrease.

Fuel import prices also dropped 0.2 percent in May after a 6.1 percent increase in April. The drop in fuel costs was the first decrease since September of 2010, but fuel prices were still up 42.3 percent year-over-year.
