QCC to educate EMC's future employees

Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester has joined Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. 's Academic Alliance program.

EMC started the academic program in order to fill a need for educated information management and data storage employees.

QCC is the first community college to join the program, which is offered at more than 100 colleges and universities. Through the program, schools offer new courses focused on information management and storage technology.

Through the program, Quinsigamond will offer a course designed by EMC Education Services on the concepts and principles of information management and storage technology and provide them with a foundation for designing and managing information infrastructures made up of technologies from multiple vendors. The course will be available in January 2008 and will be taught by Quinsigamond faculty members trained by EMC Education Services.
