Radio Personalities Reunited On WCRN

Sherman Whitman, formerly a WTAG 580 AM morning newscast anchor, will join former WTAG colleague Hank Stolz at WCRN 830 AM starting Monday.

Whitman will join WCRN Morning News, which is hosted by Stolz and broadcast daily from 5 to 9 a.m. Stolz said in a statement that he is "thrilled" to work with Whitman again.

Stolz made the move himself from WTAG to competitor WCRN in 2007. Whitman was laid off earlier this year from WTAG, which is based in Paxton, during a round of budget cuts by Clear Channel, the station's owner.

Whitman's hire comes after former WCRN host Peter Blute left the station in May. Stolz has taken over Blute's 6 to 9 a.m. time slot in addition to continuing his own programs at the station.
