Scituate couple buys Quabbin Valley Healthcare property in Athol for $10M

Quabbin Valley Healthcare
The Athol property on which the Quabbin Valley Healthcare nursing home sits has sold for $10 million.
The buyer was Blupoint Healthcare Realty of North Andover. Scott Wheeler, its operating manager, said the firm has decades of experience in the nursing home industry and is planning cosmetic improvements and program enhancements at Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
The seller was QVCC Realty Group Trust.
The nearly seven-acre site at 821 Daniel Shays Highway was last assessed by the Town of Athol at $4.4 million. The sale closed Dec. 31.
