Former Sentinel & Enterprise reporter joins WBJ to lead digital coverage

Monica Busch, who has written for publications in Fitchburg, Martha's Vinyard and New York City, has joined the Editorial Department of Worcester Business Journal to be its primary digital reporter.
As WBJ's staff writer, Busch will be primarily responsible for the content appearing on WBJournal.com, in its noontime enews The Daily Report, and on social media. In addition, she will cover the manufacturing beat in Central Massachusetts and write longer enterprise pieces for the biweekly magazine.

Busch most recently worked for the Sentinel & Enterprise in North Central Massachusetts, covering Leominster and Lancaster. She previously worked for the national news organization Bustle, based in New York City, which is geared toward Millennial women. There, she covered national politics, with an emphasis on reproductive rights, gender inequities and domestic violence. Before that, she was a reporter for the Martha's Vineyard Times.
"Two things are true about me: I love my home county, and I believe in the power of digital media," Busch said. "I'm thrilled to meld the two in this position at WBJ, working alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry."
Busch had worked for WBJ's parent company, New England Business Media, in 2019, as the part-time digital editor of Cool STUFF Made In. While there, she was responsible for the four websites and social media for the manufacturing publication geared toward middle and high school students.
She received her bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College in Boston and her master of fine arts in nonfiction writing from Columbia University in New York City.
