Seven Hills Meets Little Rhody
The Worcester-based Seven Hills Foundation has added The Homestead Group of Rhode Island as a new affiliate.
The Woonsocket-based organization provides services and support for about 800 people with disabilities and their families throughout the state.
The Homestead Group will be Seven Hills' 11th affiliate and its first in Rhode Island.
Seven Hills helps people with disabilities and other disadvantages get housing, health care, education and other services. It works with clinical affiliates to offer programs at 125 locations in Massachusetts.
Leaders of both organizations said in a statement that the merger will help each group benefit from the other's expertise and support continued services in a difficult economy.
Homestead Group board member Debbie Wood will join the Seven Hills Foundation's board of directors.
