So many boomers, so little time

So many so-called "baby boomers" are retiring that Canby Financial Advisors is doubling its office space, its number of employees and moving to an easier-to-reach location in Framingham.

Canby has been in Natick since 2004, but has decided to move back to the Meadows at 161 Worcester Road in Framingham where it will occupy suite 408, according to Darrell J. Canby, the firm's president.

Canby had space at the Meadows about ten years ago, but moved to Natick in 2004.

The firm has seven employees and 250 clients; the move increases the firm's office space from 1,872 to 3,571. In addition to nearly doubling its size, the firm also plans to double its staff over the next three years, Canby said.

Canby said his firm sees "tremendous opportunity for growth" as unprepared baby boomers scramble to get their retirement plans in order.
