Fontaine Bros., a Springfield construction management firm, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Worcester office June 28.

The company announced its expansion to 12 E. Worcester St. last month. Fontaine Bros. has a decades-long history of building projects in Worcester. In 1970, the firm was awarded the $50-million UMass Medical School project, which at the time was the largest single contract in state history.

Other area projects include Auburn High School and middle school, DCU Center upgrades, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Franklin Street Fire Station, the Shrewsbury Public Library, and several projects at the College of the Holy Cross.
