ThermoFisher Sets Record Revenues

ThermoFisher, which has operations in Central Massachusetts, recorded a $523 million profit on a record $2.9 billion in revenues during the second quarter.
The figures are an increase from a $237 million profit on $2.6 billion in revenues during the same time period last year.
The company, which specializes in technology development and purchasing, increased its annual earnings guidance by 3 cents to between $4.08 and $4.11 per share.
The company's research and development costs rose from $70 million last year to $83 million, and the company's restructuring costs rose from $8 million to $40 million year over year.
The Waltham-based company has about 37,000 employees.
