Three Worcester marijuana stores up for licenses

Three recreational cannabis retailers are hoping to win licenses from the Worcester License Commission on Thursday.
Of the three, only one, Mission Massachusetts, is currently open for medical sales at 640 Lincoln St.
The two others include Mayflower Medicinals at 645 Park Ave. and Trichome Health Corp. at 64 West Boylston St.
As of June 27, the three firms had only been approved for provisional licenses from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. Once they are approved by the License Commission, they need final approval from the CCC before they can open for recreational sales.
Good Chemistry on Harrison Street is the only company completely approved for recreational marijuana sales in Worcester.
According to the CCC, five other marijuana companies have submitted applications for retail marijuana stores in the city.
In addition to Good Chemistry and Mission Massachusetts, the Botanist on Pullman Avenue is open for medical sales.
