Unum Group Raises Dividend
The board of directors of Unum Group, the Tennessee-based employee benefits company with operations in Worcester, has authorized an increase of 10 percent on the quarterly dividend paid on its common stock.
Stockholders will first see the new rate of $0.0825 in the dividend expected in the third quarter.
The company said it reduced its dividend six years ago to focus on restructuring the company. Now, it said, it has solid operating results and a strong capital position, which enables it to make the increase.
