Wayland Hospice Expands

Parmenter Community Health Care of Wayland has reopened its Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence after expanding and renovating the facility.

The hospice, which serves terminally ill patients and their families, has been enlarged from six to 10 private rooms. Each room has its own entrance foyer, private bath, phone, cable TV and individual lighting and heating controls. The new design also features an open kitchen and dining area, a new nurses' station and expanded laundry facilities.

The project's architect was Terry Heinlein of Weston, and the builder was Columbia Contracting of Charlestown.
