Wine makers get wine stipend
Executives at Greenwich-based UST Corp. can lift their glasses in toast. In its
latest filing
with the SEC, the company says it gives its top executives a special perk: a wine allowance. Company chairman Vincent Gierer gets $6,500 a year, other directors get $5,000. UST says the money is so the executives will actually buy the company's wines to serve at dinners they host. Gierer made more than $6 million dollars last year.
