Worcester State Raises $12.3M For Scholarships, Programs

In the largest fundraising campaign in its history, Worcester State College has raised $12.3 million in five years.

WSC's Opportunity for a Lifetime campaign was begun last October and raised more than $4 million for scholarships, $3.8 million for academic development and $4.5 million for the school's unrestricted endowment.

The campaign, which was managed by the Worcester State Foundation, added 112 new funds, including 70 new scholarship funds and 42 new academic funds. Nearly $1.2 million was raised for campus expansion projects.

Sixty-four of the donations were for $25,000 or more.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this article mistakenly said the college had raised $12.3 million in less than a year. In fact, the $12.3 million was raised over the course of five years.
