Worcester urgent care facility offering COVID-19 antibody test

The American Family Care urgent care center in Worcester is now offering the COVID-19 antibody test, the office announced in a press release on Friday.
The test is used to determine whether or not a patient has COVID-19 antibodies, which may indicate whether or not they have had COVID-19 in the past. However, the center noted, it is not yet clear whether present antibodies indicate immunity to the virus.
Appointments are not required for receiving the test, and results will be made available within a few days of its administration.
The test is typically covered by insurance, according to the care center.
