Ameresco Inc., the Framingham-based energy contractor, will provide energy management and efficiency services to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
The company will manage more than $9 million in energy costs across the bureau, including 1,800 energy accounts and 18,000 energy invoices each year.
The company will centralize energy auditing in an effort to create efficiencies. For example, Ameresco will install an online reporting system that will allow the various offices around the country to monitor individual energy use. It will also allow a central location to track system-wide energy use. Ameresco will help the bureau drive energy efficiency, conservation and cost reduction through the monitoring and management.
Ameresco is an energy solutions company that has 55 offices in 29 states. The company became publicly traded earlier this year.
