Buffalo-based M&T Bank has leased a former Berkshire Bank location on Maple Street in Marlborough.
M&T Bank has signed a 10-year lease for the 3,500-square-foot location on Thursday, according to a listing for the transaction on real estate tracking website CoStar.
Berkshire Bank closed the location in June 2023 as part of a wider downsizing of its footprint impacting four locations in Massachusetts, later selling the 322 Maple St. site and another former location in Westborough for a combined $5.2 million to Auburn-based Lundgren Equity Partners.
The bank was built in 2003 and previously served as a Commerce Bank location before Berkshire’s acquisition of the firm in 2017.
M&T Bank has 71 locations in Massachusetts, including branches in Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, and Worcester.
Drew Higgins and William Kelleher of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates in Worcester served as the leasing representative for this transaction.
