New Online Guru At UMassOnline

The University of Massachusetts announced that it has named Ken Udas to be the CEO of its online learning consortium, UMassOnline, which is based in Shrewsbury.

Most recently, Udas served as the executive director of Penn State World Campus, which was created in 1998 and today offers more than 65 distance education programs to more than 10,000 students in all 50 states and on all seven continents. Udas led the development of the organization's responsibility to prioritize initiatives, staffing plans and capital and operational investments.

Udas graduated from Texas A&M University with a master's of science in management information systems, and earned his doctor of philosophy in higher education administration.

Udas is a member of the editorial board for the American Journal of Distance Education.
