Wayland Laser Co. Hires New QA Man

Wayland-based Candela Corp. has named Scott Blood its new vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs.
Blood's position is new to the company. Blood will be responsible for the company's quality systems and will serve as the company's primary liaison to international regulatory agencies.
Blood most recently was an executive at InfraReDex Inc., a Burlington-based medical devices company. He is also a lecturer at Northeastern University and chairman of the New England Biomedical Discussion Group of the American Society of Quality.
Candela makes laser equipment for hair removal, tattoo removal and other cosmetic procedures.
