Worcester students named Pfizer fellows

Eight students from Worcester colleges are among 24 chosen to participate in a 10-week undergraduate research fellowship program sponsored by Pfizer Global Research and Development in New London, Conn., and the Connecticut Business and Industry Association.
The fellowship program is in its third and final year. It helps students develop research skills for careers in pharmaceutical research.
Pfizer and the CBIA worked with seven colleges and universities in Connecticut and Massachusetts to select the fellowship recipients.
The eight from Worcester colleges are:
Eric Yoon, a junior at Holy Cross; Stacy Powell and Ann Kotze, sophomores at Holy Cross; Shira Rockowitz, Brian Costa, James Letourneux, Annie Vikart, and Kevin Jillson, all sophomores at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
