Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. I feel very comfortable here. The team I get to work with daily is motivating and enthusiastic about the work we are doing here.

Q. What's the biggest surprise you've had in starting the job?

A. The biggest surprise for me is the common misconception about what the BBB is and what we do. For many, we are associated with complaints, when actually it's such a small part of what we do. Our core is built around networking consumers with trustworthy local businesses; they come to the BBB before they hire, or buy.

Q. What challenges do you see in your new position?
A. We never lack for vision, ideas or enthusiasm. The challenge is in creating ways to increase awareness about what we do and how we can better support our accredited businesses.

Q. How different is this job from your previous position?

A. This position at the BBB is affording me the opportunity to become more active in the business community in and around Central Massachusetts. There is more opportunity to become involved and contribute my skills on a more local level, and that is important to me.

Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
I imagined myself in business but I don't think in high school I would have anticipated the opportunities that have come my way since then, and that has shaped where I am today.

Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?

A. There are many great places to eat in the area: Garden Fresh, Spoodles, or the Sole. If I get the chance to run out for lunch, I usually end up at EVO Dining on the corner of Park Avenue and Chandler Street. It's always the first place I suggest.

Q. What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

A. In 10 years, the business landscape will have changed again, and undoubtedly so will the path I am on. I enjoy what I do and I imagine in the future I will have put into practice my experiences on the corporate level or in a consulting capacity.
