Beautiful Work The Harrington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Southbridge recently hosted an art auction at Old Sturbridge Village. More than 200 community members participated and raised $10,000 for Harrington's soon-to-be constructed cancer center. Donating To Achieve The Webster Five Foundation recently donated $2,500 to the Junior Achievement of Central Massachusetts Inc. The funds will be used to establish 18 financial literacy and workforce awareness courses to students enrolled in Auburn's Pakachoag School during the 2007-2008 school year. Volunteers For Technology Twenty Intel employees volunteered a total of 54 hours renovating the technology center at the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest's Hudson Clubhouse. The time spent volunteering has resulted in the clubhouse being eligible for $540 from Intel's volunteering matching grant program. In addition to its employee volunteer efforts, Intel recently donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest to help fund the “Technology for All” program at the Hudson Clubhouse.
Charter All Stars Charter Communications recently granted $11,000 in scholarships to eight graduating seniors during its 24th annual Scholar Athlete Awards at the Charter Communications Worcester office.
