MUZZY

Worcester office furniture dealership Workplace Resource has promoted CHAD MUZZY to senior project manager. Muzzy joined the team in 2019, holds a certification in real estate inspections, and is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley.

JOSHUA FROIMSON is now vice chairperson of the board of the MassHire Central Region Workforce Board. He is business excellence manager at Worcester drugmaker AbbVie, where he has worked for the past 21 years. Before AbbVie, he was quality engineering manager at German multinational firm BASF and a project engineer from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York and has been a member of MCRWB for 11 years.

LeBLANC

Leominster Credit Union has announced ANDREW LeBLANC as its new vice president of information technology. Leblanc joined the credit union in 2018 and most recently worked as assistant vice president information security officer. In his new role, he will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, operations, and compliance of the information-technology department. He holds an associate’s degree in computer systems networking and telecommunications from ITT Technical Institute, a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA in management and operations from Fitchburg State University.

WILLIAMS

MATTHEW WILLIAMS has been named vice president, commercial loan officer at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester. Williams, who has more than 11 years of banking experience, joins Bay State from Citizens Bank of Providence, where he was vice president, business banking relationship manager. He lives in Templeton with his wife Heidi and their children Lilu and Liam.

LOCKHART- LeBLANC

BRENDA LOCKHART-LeBLANC has been appointed home loan specialist at Fidelity Bank in Leominster. She has 15 years of experience at the bank, starting in 2007 as banking center manager. She left the bank briefly for a year and is now back to help clients meet their homeownership goals.

SARAH BERRY was installed as a certified property manager of the Institute of Real Estate Management during the Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 Governmental Legislative Meeting and New Members Installation on April 13. She is a commercial property manager with Cutler Management Corp. in Worcester. She’s been with Cutler since 2012 and serves in marketing and bookkeeping capacities on top of property management.

Nichols College President GLENN SULMASY has been elected to the board of directors of the Association of Independent Colleges & Universities in Massachusetts, where he will serve a three-year term. The eighth president of Nichols, Sulmasy is a national security expert and veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, who served as provost and chief academic officer at Bryant University in Rhode Island before joining Nichols.

PATRICK McCARTY has joined the board of directors at DetecTogether, a national education and advocacy organization focusing on early detection of cancer. McCarty is the president of Westborough-based McCarty Cos., a full-service design/build civil engineering construction firm serving Massachusetts. The business was founded by his father in 1982, and McCarty has been with it since a very early age. He joined full-time in 2004 when he founded the civil design and permitting side of the business, McCarty Engineering, Inc.

COONEY

JASON COONEY has joined Tech Advisors, a Medfield and Hudson technology solution provider for small to midsized businesses specializing in the certified public accounting field, as cybersecurity engineer. Cooney has 12 years of IT experience, most recently as a systems administrator for Moderna Therapeutics in Cambridge. An eight-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps specializing in supply and logistics, Cooney lives in Hudson with his wife Lucy and their two children, Isabella and Sean. His son Ryan is a freshman at Hartwick College in New York, and Lucy’s daughter Rachel is a senior in high school.
